Ram
Full-size pickup
From $109,950 plus on-road costs
The Ram 1500 is the full-size American pickup that defined the Australian remanufacture market.
We haven't driven the 1500 yet. On paper, confirm garage width and driveway turning circle before signing. The 5'7" tub on Crew Cab is shorter than a dual-cab ute owner might expect at 1,712 mm, factor your tradie or tour loadout in.
Heavy tow rigs running big caravans or boats, trade owners after a crew cab with the optional RamBox 220 L lockable side storage, toy haulers running side-by-sides or motocross gear, and country buyers wanting open-road comfort over potholed back roads.

Two engines. The 5.7-litre Hemi V8 eTorque continues on Big Horn (291 kW / 556 Nm), and the 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six covers the rest of the range in Standard Output (313 kW / 635 Nm) or High Output (403 kW / 707 Nm) tunes.
4,500 kg braked across the range, more than any mid-size 4x4 ute.

The Ram 1500 is the full-size American pickup that defined the Australian remanufacture market. Every truck lands as a left-hand-drive cab from Sterling Heights, Michigan, then heads to Walkinshaw at Clayton in Melbourne for a full RHD conversion. The DT-series moved to the 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six as its lead engine, with the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 kept on Big Horn. Four core variants in Australia, 4,500 kg braked tow across the line.
