XPeng
Mid-size electric and range-extender SUV
From $41,900 plus on-road costs
The L03 is XPeng's mid-size SUV coupe, sold here as three EVs plus a petrol range-extender.
We haven't driven the L03 yet. On paper, check which features are Performance Ultra only (20 inch wheels, massage seats, the three-chip driver assist hardware) and that the promised 2027 driver assist software update is not a reason to buy on its own.
Families who want a well equipped mid-size SUV under $55,000, and buyers not ready for a pure EV who want petrol backup for long trips.

Drivetrain
Look at the alternatives if you want an established dealer network and resale history (Tesla Model Y, Kia EV5) or a cheaper plug-in hybrid (BYD Sealion 6).
The L03 starts at $41,900 plus on-road costs for both the EREV Power-X and EV Standard Range. The EV Long Range is $46,900 and the AWD Performance Ultra is $53,900.
The Power-X uses a 1.5 litre petrol engine purely as a generator to charge a 37.2kWh battery; it never drives the wheels. XPeng claims 215km of electric range and 1017km combined on WLTP.
WLTP range is 445km for the Standard Range, 520km for the Long Range and 440km for the AWD Performance Ultra.
The L03 is XPeng's mid-size SUV coupe, sold here as three EVs plus a petrol range-extender. Prices run from $41,900 to $53,900 plus on-roads, and on paper the standard kit is strong for the money. It is unrated by ANCAP so far and first deliveries are expected late in 2026.
